Our Story

Some things start with a dog.

My name is Jovana — a linguist, a traveller, and someone whose life changed the moment a fluffy red poodle named Bruno trotted into it. Before him, there was Tofi, my Maltese, who first taught me what it means to share your days with a dog. But it was Bruno - with his playful chaos, his curious mind, and his very strong opinions about dog shoes - who made me want to build something.

I spent years looking for dog accessories that felt as intentional as the moments they were part of. Beautiful things, made to last. Pieces that felt like you chose them, not just grabbed them. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I started making it myself - by hand, in Amsterdam.

That's how By Bruno Amsterdam was born.

Every piece I create is handcrafted here in Amsterdam using premium materials, with careful attention to detail and a focus on quality you can feel. My collections are inspired by the places we've walked together, the cities we've explored, and the quiet joy I find in everyday moments - a morning stroll along the canals, a bandana catching the light just right.

For me, design isn't just about how something looks. It's about how it feels to wear, and why it matters.

Meet Bruno

Bruno is the heart of this brand. He's a two-year-old red poodle with a playful spirit, a curious mind, and a talent for making strangers fall in love with him on the street. He loves chasing balls, exploring new places, and his favourite treats: duck or chicken with coconut oil and chia seeds. He is sometimes clumsy, always full of character, and the reason every single piece I make is designed to be joyful, personal, and made to be lived in.
